Both President Dena Weiss and Vice President Tracey Rosen of the Woodland Hills Warner Center Neighborhood Council are stepping down after ongoing conflicts among council members. According to a source, several members have “taken aim” at and caused dissension among all board executives and also members of the council who are also members of the Woodland Hills Homeowners Association (WHHO). One council member went as far as to call WHHO a “hate group” and was censured by other members. That censure was sent to Empower LA, the governing board of all neighborhood councils, which declined to pursue it, citing “common law bias, as well as conflicts of interest arising from the dual roles of neighborhood council board members who also serve on the board of the homeowners association.” Weiss has called for an interim election next week to fill the positions until the general election in June of this year.
