A suspect in the horrific murder of a Woodland Hills
woman in 2022 has been identified. Evidence has now
linked 27-year-old Erick Escamilla to the murder of
Ok Ja Kim, who was stabbed, strangled, set on fire and
shoved under her bed after a suspect forced their way into
her home on Martha Street and ransacked it. Escamilla
was caught in conjunction with another murder last April
in Valley Village. For years the case was unsolved, though
a $50,000 reward had been offered for any information about Kim’s murder.
