The Platt Library in Woodland Hills is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a series of events including DJ lessons, live music performances and other artistic activities for both children and adults. Everyone is invited and there is parking available to handle virtually everyone. On Saturday, April 26, snacks and refreshments will be served, and you can come as you are and choose your own time to attend. The celebration is being sponsored by The Friends of Platt Library. Enjoy the “Then and Now Celebrate the 30th Anniversary” of the Platt Library at 12:30 pm with henna, face painting and glitter tattoos. Katy DeBra will share ideas and design tips. Also on Saturday at 1 pm Madcap Balloons will create imaginative animals, hats, and character-shaped balloons. At 1 pm Makido Hirata, internationally renowned classical pianist will perform and at 2 pm meet your elected officials, library representatives and community organizers followed at 3 pm with a reception and refreshments. The Platt Branch Library is located at 23600 Victory Blvd. (at Platt) in Woodland Hills.
