A Night of Schitts and Giggles at The Emmys

This year’s 76th annual Emmy Awards was full of Schitt’s and giggles. Father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy (Schitt’s Creek) hosted the annual television ceremony only eight months after the last Emmys, which were delayed due to the Hollywood strikes.

With that being said, many of the category winners mirrored those of the previous ceremony…blink and you might miss the fact that this is the 2024 Emmys, not the 2023 ones.

Peppered throughout the ceremony were a slew of famous reunions on recreated sets (i.e. Ron Howard and Henry Winkler of Happy Days) and popular pairings, (i.e. famous TV moms, villains and the like).

While it was night of sweeps (Shogun claiming the most awards at 18), there were also many firsts (Jodie Foster received her first Emmy!) and tongue-in-cheek moments (Will Smith, no not that one, winning for best writing and acknowledging that this Smith comes in peace).
