Woodland Hills Rotary Helps Kids Reach Seniors With Thanksgiving Cards

  • by

The simple, natural goal of making a solid connection between  school kids and seniors has become a reality. Rotary Club of Woodland Hills partnered with schools and other non-profits to provide Thanksgiving cards for seniors, unhoused or sheltered people.  The S. Wise School second grade participated as did Boys and Girls Club of West Valley, Columbus Middle School grades six to eight,  Sikh School of Los Angeles, Lorne Street Elementary in Northridge and Manzanita School in Topanga.

Approximately 1400 cards will be delivered  to ONEgeneration seniors, Fairwinds Senior Living, Michael’s Meals, Hope the Mission Tiny Homes, Brandman Center for Seniors, SFV Rescue Mission, Khalsa Care Foundation in Pacoima and others.

Any organization that wants to  get involved for Christmas and other holidays, contact Sandy Rosenholz at SR@SeniorResourcesCA.com.
