Streets LA, a division of the City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works, is inviting community members to help reimagine the Warner Center area as an active transportation hub supporting jobs and housing. Active transportation includes walking, biking, scootering or using a wheelchair – any form of human-powered mobility. Three events in September will provide opportunities for the community to help shape the Warner Center Active Transportation Hub project and share their ideas.
The first two events are community walking tours, where participants will walk approximately two miles around the Warner Center area to observe current conditions and discuss potential improvements to make walking, biking and rolling safer and more accessible. Both walking tours will follow the same format and begin at the same location.
Community Walking Tour #1 will take place Friday, September 19, from 1 to 2:30 pm. Community Walking Tour #2 will take place Saturday, September 20, from 10 to 11:30 am.

The third event is a project booth at the Salute to Firefighters Festival on Saturday, September 27, from 9 am to 4 pm. Project staff will engage with attendees to learn about their experiences getting around the Warner Center area and gather feedback on priority improvements. The festival will take place at Warner Center Park, 5800 Topanga Canyon in Woodland Hills, and admission is free.
