A burglary crew was arrested and charged for a series of burglaries across the San Fernando Valley. They are accused of hitting at least 20 homes and stealing wallets, high-end purses, watches, jewelry and more. “These defendants are accused of prowling neighborhoods, smashing their way into homes and stealing from families who were left shaken and violated,” said District Attorney Nathan Hochman. Sheriff Robert Luna said the seven who were arrested researched the properties and attempted to conceal their crimes using burner phones and cars rented under fraudulent identities. He said that organized burglary crews “are increasingly targeting affluent neighborhoods and often select homes near golf courses, parks and hiking trails and open space areas that provide easier access and escape routes.” LAPD, L.A. County Sheriffs and Ventura County Sheriffs worked together to apprehend the seven thieves.
