The accident occurred near the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area at Burbank Boulevard near Hayvenhurst Avenue at about 7:20 pm when the speeding Lamborghini crashed into a Jeep Cherokee turning left into the park. Upon impact, the Lamborghini flew through the air before hitting a nearby tree, ejecting the driver and causing a small brushfire nearby.
