Topanga Days is Back!

  • by

In its 50th year, the three-day family-friendly music festival and fundraiser continues to draw a diverse group of people to the Topanga Community Center through an eclectic mix of musical acts with plenty of activities that are fun for all ages plus local artists, vendors, food, desserts and drinks and the outrageous and whacky Memorial Day parade!

This year’s musical lineup features the surf rock, neo psychedelic vibes of Los Angeles natives Allah-Las on Saturday, May 24, at 5:30 pm. Soul, reggae, punk, ska blending dance pop legend English Beat on stage Sunday, May 25, at 5:30 pm, and star-powered 70s rock cover band Chevy Metal on Monday, May 26, at 5:45 pm. The diverse, high-quality lineup also includes Orgone, Cubensis, Spazmatics, Venice, Miracle Glass Company, Regina Ferguson, Chester Copperpot, Greenhorn Brothers, Dark Desert Highway, Mr. Ginger Merkin, Virr, and James Houlahan.

Founded in 1973 by actors, writers, artists, musicians, and nature-lovers who called Topanga home, the Topanga Days Country Fair began as a grassroots fundraiser to support the Topanga Community House. Today, families, friends, and music fans flock to the annual event nestled in the sublime Santa Monica Mountains to enjoy this bohemian festival with good food, drinks and faire, and more than 25 musical acts performing on two stages over three days. With plenty of activities for kids – from creative face painting to a Fun Zone with a giant slide, bounce house, and a playground – this event makes for the perfect family outing.

Food fare ranges from BBQ and pizza to Greek and vegan, with Acai bowls, ice cream, smoothies and much more. There will be beer, wine, and the popular sangria bar, too. Topanga Days is truly fun for everyone!
