The Valley Economic Alliance is proud to announce Micky Dolenz as their 2026 Star of the Valley Entertainment Honoree. He will be honored at VEA’s “Valley of the Stars” gala on April 30.
Born in Los Angeles and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Dolenz’ journey from local stages to international acclaim reflects the creative engine that defines our region.
As vocalist and drummer of the legendary band The Monkees, Dolenz helped drive one of the most successful acts of the 1960s. Their hit television series, The Monkees, became a cultural phenomenon, earning two Emmy Awards and launching a recording career that has sold over 65 million albums worldwide. Remarkably, the band’s first four albums each reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts—an achievement unmatched since.
Six decades later, Dolenz continues to perform, record, and tour, including his 2026 presentation, Micky Dolenz: Celebrates 60 Years of The Monkees — a milestone that underscores the lasting cultural impact of a Valley-raised artist whose work has resonated across generations.
Celebrating Dolenz at this year’s gala is more than honoring entertainment excellence; it is recognizing the creative legacy that fuels our regional economy.
The gala will be held at the Hilton Universal City. Tickets are available at $300 per person at thevalley.networkforgood.com.
