Valley Cultural Center’s “Concerts on the Green” summer concert series will kick off next Sunday, June 9, with Ambrosia, with special guest Peter Beckette and Bill Champlin.
A musical showdown hits the stage on June 16 with Beatles vs. Stones, followed by Hollywood U2, a U2 tribute band, on June 23.
June 30 has a returning favorite as The Young Dubliners bring their Celtic rock to the park.
July 4 wows the west valley with Councilman Bob Blumenfield’s July 4 Fireworks Extravaganza. Presented by Keyes Motors it will feature a performance by Ryder Green.
July 14 Led Zepagain brings “A Stairway to Heaven” and other hits from Led Zeppelin, and July 21 enjoy The McCartney Years with a tribute to Paul McCartney.
On the heels of the hit movie “Bohemian Rhapsody” Queen Nation brings the music of Queen to Woodland Hills on July 28.
The Masters of Soul bring Motown to the park on August 4, and Which One’s Pink? tribute to the music of Pink Floyd rock the park August 11.
The final concert of the season will be August 18 with The Purple Xperience: Prince Tribute. Opening performances begin at 5:30 pm with headliners taking the stage at 6:30 pm. Picnics, lawn chairs and dogs allowed; alcohol is not allowed in the park.
