A two-day search for “Teddy,” who was stolen, along with his owners’ truck, last Sunday, had a happy ending. The truck was stolen from Whole Foods Market in Woodland Hills with the dog inside. His owner, a Topanga woman, pleaded on television that she “just wanted to get Teddy back. Keep the truck.” She offered a $3000 reward with no questions asked, but the truck and dog were found abandoned in Westfield Topanga’s parking lot. Teddy was dehydrated but unharmed. It is unclear whether the thief abandoned the truck and the dog out of humanitarian concerns or worries about the tremendous publicity.
