
UPDATE: Police Arrested the 17 yer old boy at his valley home. After the stabbing, the boy ran down Erwin Street and escaped. The suspects name is not being released due to his age. The bus driver remains in critical condition at Northridge Hospital.
The rider who stabbed a Metro bus driver Wednesday night is being sought by LAPD. The suspect, described as a 21-year-old male with blond curly hair, entered the bus at Topanga and Erwin about 5:15 pm and got into an altercation with the driver. The two exited the bus and the suspect stabbed the driver several times in the torso. He then fled on foot down Erwin towards Owensmouth. The suspect was last seen wearing a red shirt and black pants, carrying a backpack. He may still be carrying the knife. The driver is in critical condition at a local hospital.
