Slow Speed Chase Takes Driver Out of Bounds

If the suspect wasn’t wanted for assault with a deadly weapon it would have been amusing. Sunday night police chased the driver of a stolen golf cart from Tarzana to Valley Glen. During the slow-speed 16-miles-per-hour chase  the driver, who was shirtless, held a dog in his lap the entire time. Because of the cart’s size the driver was able to weave between police cruisers and evade arrest.

Ultimately his luck ran out as he was cornered against a big rig in a 7-11 parking lot. Officers were able to arrest him and have animal control take the dog.

No word on where he got the golf cart, though it was marked “Security” on one side. The suspect was also charged with grand theft auto, which we guess counts even if it’s a tiny golf cart!
