According to the Woodland Hills Homeowners Organization, an early filing notice reveals that an application has been made to the city to tear down an existing single family home at 5353 North Del Moreno Drive. The home is across from the athletic field at Taft High School. Proposed is a seven-story, mixed-use development with 60 residential units (five to be very low income assigned to disabled veterans) and one commercial unit. They are asking for a categorical exemption and density bonus. There are no renderings or elevations of the project as of yet, and it has not been presented to the Planning and Land Use Committee of the Neighborhood Council.
