LAPD responded to another home invasion robbery on Sunday night at approximately 10:55 pm. Three suspects broke into a home in the 23000 block of Erwin Street in Woodland Hills and zip-tied one resident and detained a second. They took off with a safe but the contents were unknown. It may be that the robbery was not completely random, as KTLA did report that the owner of the home used to own a coin business and the robbers asked him where the coins were. Officer Chavez of the LAPD said that police responded to the 459 Hot Prowl Home Invasion call but the suspects had fled. They are reported to be two males, approximately 5’8”, 150 pounds and one suspect of unknown gender wearing a silver athletic suit. A similar robbery occurred on March 4 only three miles away, where the occupants were also zip-tied. There is no information yet on whether the two incidents are related or not.
