Reseda Street Racing Ends in Death

  • by

It seems to have taken over almost everywhere in the Valley: street racing. This past Sunday, firefighters were called to 18153 W. Vanowen Street in Reseda after reports of a multi-vehicle crash that was likely caused by the dangerous trend of street racing. According to the LAPD, a white Dodge Charger and a yellow Chevrolet Camaro were speeding down the eastbound lanes of Vanowen St., collided with each other, lost control and crashed into multiple vehicles in their vicinity.  The driver of the Camaro, a 32-year-old male, died at the scene after being trapped in the vehicle and the driver of the Dodge, 21-year-old Nicolas Velasco Marcos, was arrested on scene and booked for murder. Five other individuals were rushed to the hospital after being rescued from the jaws of life from their vehicles.
