Pit Bull Attacks Two in Park; Owner Flees

  • by

LAPD is searching for the owner of a pit bull that attacked two men in Warner Park Saturday afternoon. The dog was off-leash and not wearing a collar as it mauled Emeterio Marroquin. “He was trying to get my neck, so I’m like, ‘Hey, this dog is going to kill me!’ I tried to grab his teeth and tried to choke him, because he was trying to get my neck, but he didn’t have nothing on his neck to grab.”  Another man in the park, Patricio Fuentes, heard his screams and rushed to help him, only to have the dog turn on him. “All of a sudden the dog realized I was there trying to distract him and he jumped at me and lunged at me. Got me in the chest and in the arm,” Fuentes told Eyewitness News. The dog stopped his attack and returned to his owner, who immediately left the park. The two men were taken to the hospital with multiple bite wounds. Anyone with information about the woman should call LAPD.
