Old Whole Foods Tarzana to be Trader Joe’s

  • by

The old Whole Foods location at the Village Walk  Shopping Center in Tarzana is slated to be a new Trader Joe’s. Whole Foods, which opened there in 2010, was closed by parent company Amazon in 2022. They closed six underperforming stores in four states,  after a $3.8 billion first-quarter loss that year. The store at 18700 Ventura Boulevard is 54,000 square feet and fronts Ventura Blvd. Whole Foods Woodland Hills at 21347 Ventura remains open. There are two Trader Joe’s within five miles of the new location:   21055 Ventura Blvd., Woodland Hills, and  17640 Burbank Blvd., Encino. There is no information on a Tarzana opening date.
