Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti was honored at the annual Mayor’s Luncheon hosted by United Chambers of Commerce last Friday at Woodland Hills Country Club.
Garcetti spoke about being born and raised in the valley, his affinity with the valley, and how important the business community here was to the overall Los Angeles area – and how important all the chambers were, not only to the valley but the Los Angeles business climate as a whole.
The Mayor, who is leaving the post, stayed away from discussing his possible successor, but did get emotional when he talked  about how much he loved the city.
The audience was made up of members of the 16 chambers in United Chambers, various government and city officials. United Chambers deals with valley-wide, county-wide and regional issues and promotes the San Fernando Valley’s overall welfare, progress and economic prosperity. They also advocate on businesses’ behalf on a state and federal level for the good of all business.
