Marmalade Cafe Calabasas Closing

Marmalade Cafe Calabasas Closing

Management at Marmalade Cafe Calabasas have announced that the restaurant will be closing this coming Sunday, August 2. They did not give a reason for the shuttering of the restaurant, but the construction at The Commons and subsequent lack of parking and thus customers was cited as a possible factor. The restaurant opened in 1998 at The Commons. Marmalade was the second restaurant concept from  Bobby Burns, whose family owned Bob Burns at the Promenade Mall in Woodland Hills. When that closed, Burns opened Brentwood Bar & Grill in Los Angeles, and then the Marmalade chain.  He also opened Bedford & Burns in Beverly Hills. The Marmalade location in Westlake Village at The Promenade is staying open.
