Anthony Rauda, the alleged Malibu Canyon shooter, has gone to trial for murder, attempted murder and burglary in a crime spree in 2018. Rauda is accused of several random shootings at cars and people, burglarizing the Tapia water plant on Las Virgenes Road and the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center, and the fatal shooting of a camper at Malibu Creek State Park. Tristan Beaudette was killed as he slept in a tent with his two daughters. Boot prints from the community center crime scene led sheriffs to Rauda, who deputies found on a nearby mountain ridge. He has waived his right to be present at his trial.
