The signs have been posted on every side of The Promenade Mall in Warner Center. The Kroenke Group, which purchased the center from Westfield, is now charging for parking in the lot, which has never been an issue. Day and night parking will be paid on a mobile app, and Proper Parking, the company hired to supervise the lot, will be doing spot checks and issuing tickets. Repeat violators will be towed. According to Brian Wildenhain, Property Manager of the center for Kroenke, rates will be similar to those at The Village, with overnight parking and event parking.
Brandon Helfer, owner of Proper Parking, said it was to manage the lot, keep out homeless, reduce liability and provide affordable parking for local businesses.
