Emmy-Award winner Emily R Sue and Grammy-nominated Wayne Wilkins host the weekly event.

Do you have a song to sing, a poem to share, a story that wants an audience?

Here’s the event for you!

Introducing Thursday Night Live, your weekly community entertainment event.

Join in-person or online for Thursday Night Live at Woodland Hills Community Church on the corner of Dumetz and Canoga.

Started by Grammy-nominated producer and long standing WHCC member, Wayne Wilkins, and MC’d by WHCC member and Emmy Award winner, Emily R Sue, this weekly event has become a favorite for the WHCC community and beyond.

The Sanctuary doors open every Thursday at 7:30 pm and the space comes alive with the sounds of music and spoken word as performers take the stage to showcase their talents.

This event has grown in popularity, with performers of all ages and backgrounds taking part. From the youngest of kids to seasoned music artists and poets, everyone is welcome to share their creativity and connect with their community.

If you’re not able to make it in person, Thursday Night Live is also live-streamed on the church’s Facebook and YouTube pages, so friends and family can tune in from anywhere in the world.

Don’t be intimidated by the star studded organizers, this Open Mic event welcomes artists of all ages and backgrounds. It’s a joy to see young (and young-at-heart) performers grow in confidence and become increasingly fearless each week.

At Thursday Night Live, you’ll hear music across a vast array of styles, from secular to religious, inspiring performances that will have you smiling with renewed hope for the day.

Woodland Hills Community Church is a just peace, open and affirming congregation and they wholeheartedly welcome anyone with an appetite for connection.

Come and be a part of a remarkable evening dedicated to honoring two WHCC centenarians! On Thursday, March 23, at 7:30 pm, the sanctuary will be filled with the melodies of classic hits, big band favorites and crooners. Join them for drinks and light refreshments. Everyone is invited to attend this special occasion!
