Join the All Street Cleanup of Reseda Blvd. June 29

Volunteers Cleaning Communities is coordinating an all-street clean up event of Reseda Boulevard on Saturday, June 29.

The all-volunteer crew will clean the street from the 118 Freeway to Ventura Blvd. in just two hours.

Volunteer as an individual or form a team. “You’ll have fun and meet your neighbors – and make a difference,” said Jill Mather, founder of VCC.Tools will be provided and portions of the street will be assigned upon registration. Register to volunteer at

Sponsors of the event include Councilman John Lee, Cavaretta’s Deli, Senior Resources, Inc., Colleen King Insurance Agency, Kiwanis Club of Chatsworth, M Media and Steve and Georgia Altmayer.

Volunteers Cleaning Communities is a community-based nonprofit 501c3 organization focused on helping make the world around us a better, cleaner, environmentally friendly,  litter-free place. With the help of community volunteers they organize cleaning events to rid local streets of litter, and through the Adopt-A-Highway Program they clean a three-and-a-half mile section of the 118 Freeway from the on and off ramp of Tampa to the on and off ramp of Balboa both the north and south sides. They also clean illegal dumping site, abandoned homeless encampments, and an adopted section of the LA River.
