Homeowners Scare Off Burglars With Shotgun

It’s not clear who was more surprised. A pair of burglars broke into a Tarzana home Tuesday night, but ended up fleeing in terror as the homeowner confronted them in the kitchen with a shotgun. The owners awoke to the sound of breaking glass and realized what was happening. The armed homeowner then confronted the two would-be burglars, who were wearing masks and hoodies, and ordered them to leave. They did so in haste, jumping over a fence and landing in nearby bushes. The incident occurred around 10:30 pm in the 18800 block of Wells Drive. LAPD reports no shots were fired. No suspect descriptions were given.
