Get in the Holiday Spirit at Reagan Library’s “American Christmas Story

  • by

It’s a great way to get in the holiday spirit!

That spirit is definitely strong at  the Reagan Library with their brand-new, never-before-seen 5,000-square-foot Christmas exhibit, which explores some of the fascinating holiday traditions and unique expressions of the holidays.

Over 65 trees are on display – trees which represent every state and territory in our country, as well as a White House Tree, and a Gold Star Memorial Tree.

Each tree is decorated with mementos, signs, ornaments and decor reflecting each state’s unique attributes.

The California tree, for example,  boasts golden poppies, a Hollywood sign,  movie tickets and more reflecting California’s history.

Artifacts from around the world and rarely seen items from the Reagan family’s very own Christmas tree will also be on display.

There is also a beautiful display of antique and modern menorahs given to President Reagan at the White House during the 1980’s.

The library’s gift shop also carries a variety of ornaments, Reagan memorabilia, books and more for holiday gift giving.

The “American Christmas Story” runs through January 8.   The Reagan Library is located at 40 Presidential Drive in Simi Valley, just off the 23 Freeway. For more information visit www.ReaganLibrary.com/Trees.
