The source of all the honking on the 101 has been revealed!
This picture was posted by Jennifer DeVoe Van Dusen on Facebook… taken on the Ventura Freeway last Saturday.
A family of Canada geese had taken a stroll and ended up in the northbound lane of the 101. A helpful pickup driver (out of the photo) had stopped with flashers on and arms waving to allow the geese to safely exit.
Canadian geese fly down south of California every winter and can be seen on the fields at Pierce College and other large grassy fields during their winter migration.
