Fireworks Light Up the West Valley Sky

  • by

Fireworks will light up the Valley sky Tuesday when the Councilmember Bob Blumenfield’s July 4th Extravaganza celebrates the holiday.

Festivities begin at 5:30 pm. To kick off the event a live concert in Warner Park will feature the fun sounds of Beach St. A Go Go. Listen and dance to the hit songs of the ‘60s, 70’s and 80’s before the fireworks show begins at 9 pm.

Three street closures will begin at 4 am Tuesday on Califa Street between Topanga Canyon and Owensmouth, Marylee Street between Topanga and Owensmouth, and Owensmouth from Marylee to Califa Street.

Event parking opens at 3 pm. Gate entrances to the park will be located at Topanga and Califa, Topanga and Marlee, Marylee and Owensmouth and Owensmouth and Califa. Once the  fireworks are over other gates will open for exiting the park. LAPD and VCF officers will be stationed at each gate for the duration of the event.

There will be 14 food trucks, 30 vendors and plenty of fun in the park for the entire family. The event is free but VIP tickets for seating behind the stage are still available by calling Valley Cultural Center at (818) 704-1358.

The City of Calabasas will also have a fireworks show, but that is sold out. Those attending will hear the Viewpoint choir  opening the event with the national anthem.
