Drivers be aware. The traffic light at Ventura Blvd. and Ponce Avenue, installed months ago, is working intermittently this week. The signal at the intersection near the Smart & Final Shopping Center was brought to fruition by Councilman Bob Blunenfield’s office to slow down traffic on that busy stretch of road. Unfortunately, there was a fatal accident involving a pedestrian at that intersection in February, when the light was installed but not operational.
