Do you have old, expired and unused drugs in your medicine cabinet?
It’s time to clean it out! Keep old drugs out of the hands of children, teens and others and dispose of them properly at the “Crush the Crisis” event on Saturday, October 28 at West Hills Hospital.
The hospital is partnering with LAPD in support of the DEA’s national Prescription Drug Take Back Day in the fight against medication misuses and opioid addiction. Crush the Crisis provides a safe and anonymous way to dispose of medications that may be left over from previous procedures or other medical visits.
Accepted items include tablets or capsules in any packaging, patches, medicated ointments, lotions or drops, liquid medications (in leak-proof containers) vape cartridges (without batteries) and pet medications.
No needles, syringes, lancets or illegal drugs will be accepted.
The collection site will be located behind the hospital at 7300 Medical Center Drive. It will accept medications from 10 am to 1 pm. Follow the event signs to the drive-thru drop-off location.
