Los Angeles City Councilmember John Lee on Thursday officially launched the new crime-fighting license plate reader program throughout the North Valley. Currently, the Los Angeles Police Department and the Bureau of Street Lighting are working towards installing 100 cameras in the Northwest San Fernando Valley.
