The City of Calabasas has been honored with America in Bloom’s Outstanding Achievement Award for Overall Impression, recognizing that the City exceeded the judges’ expectations in: community vitality, flowers, landscape areas, urban forestry, environmental efforts and celebrating heritage. “Calabasas is a city that takes pride in our community. Receiving this honor during a drought when we are actively monitoring our landscapes, redesigning irrigation, and installing drought resistant plantings is particularly gratifying,” said Calabasas Mayor Mary Sue Maurer. The America in Bloom competition promotes nationwide beautification through community involvement by encouraging the use of flowers, plants and trees.
