The Las Virgenes Municipal Water District hosted their “Pure Beer” event on November 10. In conjunction with Tomoko Tavern and Ladyface Brewery in Agoura, water district execs manned the taps and passed out the beer and special “Pure Beer” glasses.
The beer was brewed with pure water from Las Virgenes Water District’s Pure Water Project Demonstration Facility.
The Pure Water Project utilizes “potable reuse,” a water supply strategy, now adopted by many cities and water agencies in California and across the United States, to provide local, reliable water supplies. The project begins with the installation of the infrastructure needed to deliver recycled water to the proposed advanced water treatment facility where proven state-of-the-art technology will be used to further purify the water.
The pure beer, with a slight citrus taste, was poured by Las Virgenes Municipal Water District General Manager Dave Pederson at left, Ladyface Brewery’s Cesar Flores, center and Joe McDermottDirector, Engineering and External Affairs for LVMWD
