The new development from Caruso at The Commons has been modified and reduced in scope by 16%. The Calabasas City Council approved the new plan, which still demolishes the existing movie theatre, but reduces the number of apartments from 119 to 80. Instead of eight low income units there will be four very low income units. The subterranean parking has been eliminated. The mixed use Building A will remain at eight stories, but Building B will be reduced from three stories to two stories. The project represents 176,261 square feet of new development in Calabasas.
