Candidates to Speak Out at Valley Forum

Candidates for open seats across the city and county will address their platforms at a “State of the Community” candidate forum on Friday, September 30.

The two candidates for Los Angeles Mayor, Karen Bass, a Congresswoman who represents South Los Angeles in Washington, and Rick Caruso, businessman and owner of The Commons, The Grove and other shopping centers, are scheduled to attend.

Candidates for County Supervisor, Lindsey Horvath, a member of the West Hollywood City Council, and Bob Hertzberg, a State Senator representing portions of the east valley, are also scheduled.

On the agenda are Robert Luna, Police Chief of Long Beach, who is running for  Los Angeles County Sheriff.  

In the race for Los Angeles City Attorney, attorney Hydee Feldstein-Soto and attorney Faisal Gill are both on the program.

Business owner Pilar Schiavo is running against Assemblymember Suzette Valladares for the state assembly seat representing much of the north valley.

The event is hosted by the Chatsworth Porter Ranch Chamber of Commerce and is open to the public. 

It will be held at 11 am at Knollwood Country Club, 12040 Balboa Blvd., Granada Hills.

Tickets are $40 for chamber members; $50 for non-chamber members.
