By stepping into the arena early 2025, Alnajjar becomes the very first viable candidate to launch a direct challenge against incumbent Mayor Karen Bass, framing his campaign around fiscal discipline, budget auditing, structural reform, and technical expertise.
Rejecting the label of a career politician, Alnajjar positions himself as a practical problem solver. His extensive resume includes decades of work on the city’s core physical systems, ranging from automated traffic system networks to LA Metro transit lines and solar LED street lighting modernizations.
“To-date, No candidate in this race has the hands-on public works experience and proven track record that I do,” Alnajjar stated during his announcement. “I have spent over 36 years building and delivering solutions. Now, I want to spend the next four years re-engineering our city as your 44th LA Mayor.”
