Camouflaged Camera Found in Calabasas

  • by

The Sheriff’s Department reported that a resident in Calabasas found a camouflaged camera hidden in a flower bed with the lens facing their residence. According to LAPD and the Sheriff’s Dept., these cameras are used by burglars that want to monitor comings and goings of residents to know when to break in. There are reported “burglary tourists” working L.A. County. Foreign nationals who are part of international burglary rings enter the U.S. and are organized into theft groups. A resident in a gated community in Calabasas who wished not to be identified told Valley News Group that the area is “being hit all the time. They come up from the golf course to enter the community.” LAPD is urging all county residents to check their perimeters for any unusual “trash” or concealed equipment.
