The Calabasas Senior Center is celebrating its 6th Anniversary on Friday, June 3, from 2 to 4 pm.
The event marks six successful years since the facility opened in June 2016. Seniors will celebrate both the re-opening of the Center and the Anniversary by visiting and catching up with friends, enjoying refreshments, entertainment, and touring the facility to meet instructors, receive information on membership, programs, activities, clubs and excursions.
Supervisor Kimberly Post said, “We’re also celebrating our recent recognition by the National Institute of Senior Centers at the National Council on Aging’s Programs of Excellence. The Center won Honorable Mention in the Marketing/Public Relations category for its Caring Calabasas Club.”
To support The Eastwood Ranch Foundation’s “Be a Friend of the Animals” project, attendees may bring gently used goods for cats and dogs, including blankets, sheets, small rugs, towels, leashes, bowls, and carriers. The Foundation is a non-profit animal welfare and rescue organization.
