Calabasas City Councimember David Shapiro has been re-elected as the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) Regional Council District #44 Representative.
District 44 covers Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Westlake Village, Agoura and Malibu.
SCAG is an association of local governments and agencies that voluntarily convene as a forum to address regional issues.
Shapiro has served on the Calabasas City Council since January 25, 2012 and served as the City’s Mayor from 2014-2015, a second term as Mayor 2018-2019 and his third term as Mayor 2020-2023.
He serves as a City Council Liaison for the city’s schools, on School Site Safety as part of the School Area Traffic and Safety Committee and is School and PFC Liaison for the Calabasas City Council. He also serves on the Emergency Preparedness Public Safety, and Communications Committees for the City and is also a representative on the Clean Power Alliance.
