Calabasas City Councilmember David Shapiro, right,  has been elected chair of the Southern California Association of Governments’ (SCAG) Community, Economic and Human Development (CEHD) Committee. He has been a member the CEHD Committee for the past six years.

The Committee oversees SCAG’s growth visioning and forecasting processes, the Regional Housing Needs Assessment, and monitoring and analysis of the regional economy.

“I am humbled to serve alongside leaders from across our region in addressing issues critical to the future of our region, including housing, health and the well-being of our communities,” Shapiro said.
