Only three candidates have filed to fill three offices that will open on the Calabasas City Council.
As of the filing deadline of August 7, only incumbents Ed Albrecht, James Bozajian and David Shapiro were on the November 3 ballot.
The City Council will hold a special meeting on August 19 to determine if an election should be held, or if the three candidates should be appointed to the positions.
If the City Council makes an appointment pursuant to §10229 of the Election Code, the City Clerk shall not accept for filing any statement of write-in candidacy which is submitted after the appointment is made.
