A jewelry store in the 22100 block of Ventura Blvd. Woodland Hills has been hit for the second time in six months. A burglar cut a hole in the roof of Nafiseh Jewelry with an ax and dropped into the store Saturday morning around 3 am. The Nezafati family watched on surveillance video as alarms sounded, but the thief, whose face was uncovered, took off after six minutes, grabbing $100,000 worth American and Persian silver coins, silver and gold plates and jewelry. He exited the store through the same hole in the ceiling. Touraj Nezafati said this second incident is making them rethink keeping the store or moving it to Orange County. “It’s a dangerous time. I just want to feel safe. I want my family to feel safe.” Police are still searching for the suspect, shown on the security camera above.
