NBA star and Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clark was found dead Monday at a home in the 20300 block of Del Campo Place in Woodland Hills. His death is being examined but drug paraphernalia was found in the home and authorities have said “the incident is being investigated as a possible overdose.” Clark has a history of drug use. He was arrested in April of this year after a 100 mile per hour chase in Arkansas, and was found with over 230 grams of kratom, per his arrest record. Kratom has been deemed unsafe and ineffective as a supplement and possible way to quit opioids.Clark was charged with felony counts of trafficking of a controlled substance and fleeing law enforcement at high speeds, and misdemeanor counts of drug possession and traffic violations. He was released on a $25,000 bond the next day. In the last three seasons, 29-year-old Clark was hit with injuries that slowed him considerably. He had one year left on his contract with the Grizzlies.
