Nabu Wines is showcasing their first medals from the Mid State Fair in Paso Robles – gold medal for their 2023 Paso Robles Albariño and silver medal for their 2023 Paso Robles Sauvignon Blanc.
Nabu was established in 2012, and is named for the relationship owners Greg and Janet Barnett of Woodland Hills and Jeff Bailey have with vineyards in Napa Valley and Malibu Coast AVAs.
They handcraft their wines from exceptional fruit, sustainably grown to produce both single-varietal and special blend wines from Napa Valley, Mendocino County, Sonoma Coast, Paso Robles, and the Malibu Coast appellations.
The Paso Robles medals are just the latest in a string of medals their wines have been awarded.
Nabu also has a local tasting room in Westlake Village, featuring wines by the glass, flights and bottles.
There’s also a lot of music, as both Barnetts were in the music industry in the 1980s, as Greg says, “When the hair was big and the scene on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood smelled like Aquanet and leather with the sounds of glam rock and heavy metal.” So you’ll definitely find some of their favorites spinning on the turntable from their huge record collection in the tasting room or songs by the bands that play every weekend at the winery. There’s also trivia every Thursday night.
Visit the Nabu tasting room at 2649 Townsgate Road noon to 7 pm, with happy hour 3 to 7 pm or call (805) 778-1100.
