The cops are warning the community that in order to not have their movements captured on camera, burglars have started resorting to cutting off the power connection in circuit breaker boxes. No wifi means no working Rings. Cops are advising homeowners to take simple steps to rectify this issue.
The first is to buy a lock for your breaker box to prevent thieves from easily opening an unsecured box and gaining access. The second is to purchase a back up battery so that in the chance the power does go down, or is purposefully cut off, the back up will boot up and allow your Ring and security devices to continue to operate without interruption.
